Hey i play your brother this week in the 2nd rd of the playoffs, just to make it clear i was not one of the idiots he calls a friend that told him to start gonzalez over bryant haha, but anyways im tryin to knock your brother out of the playoffs for the 3rd straight season but have some tough decisions to make on whom to start this week wondering if you could give me some advice that way we both could have sh*t to talk on him, Sit or Play? Romo sun night game vs Giants or Mcnabb monday night game vs Clev. which 2 WR’s shd i play Vincent Jackson vs KC, Donald Driver vs Jac, Bernard Berrian vs Ari, Lee Evans vs NYJ “Keep in mind i have marshawn n thomas jones at RB in that game already” or Santonio Holmes vs Bal. Haha. He was very angry with me once Gonzo scored that TD. You have to play Romo. Its a home game, inside, and he shouldnt have any trouble at all putting up points. McNabb has a home game in philly…I am going there tomorrow and looked up the weather and its suppose to be rainy/snowy/and windy…..not good passing conditions.

WR’s - In the rankings I am about to post in a few minutes I have Jackson and Driver basically even….I have to play driver in one league this week but I like jackson a little more. Berrian would be an interesting play if he didnt do shit last week and now Tavarius Jackson might be the starting qb…..Go Evans…….I’m sure I will hear about this from him also.

I must win this week in order to make the playoffs. Our league uses 2 Rb’s and 1 flex and I need to figure out who to start in these 3 positions out of these guys: Westbrook @NYG, SJax @Ari, Hillis vs. KC, and Grant vs. Houston. Latest reports show that Grant will get most or all the carries because he is not limited from his thumb and Brandon Jackson has a lingering hamstring issue. Just going on matchups alone I would sit Westbrook but we learned last week that you can never sit him. What do I do? (Ryan - Dearborn, Michigan)

Ryan - I am sitting Grant here. The Eagles centered their offense around Westbrook last week and it worked wonders. There is no reason they should not try and do that again this week…..actually….Andy Reid might fuck it up somehow. SJax is back and had a solid last game and

even going against an Arizona offense that will put up a lot of points, he can still be involved in the passing game. Hillis has had 3 great weeks in a row. I can’t justify sitting him against a better matchup vs KC. Ryan Grant rushed for 39 yards last week….and 67 rush yards the week before. He also left the game last week with an injury. Even with a good week of practice and rest…..I don’t see how you can play him over either of the 3 you named. Good luck sir. 12/2/08 - Week 14 Dear Rotodorks, Fantasy football is ruining my relationship with my girlfriend. What should I do?!? If your girlfriend cares about you then she should realize that you need one day out of the week (and two nights if you count monday and thursday games) to hang out with your buddies, your tv, and your computer to watch football. I’m sure she will get you to go see Twilight or some other lame movie so the least she can do is bring you and your friends beers during games, or go to her friends house and paint eachother’s nails or whatever it is they do. Matt Cassel can lick my balls: That is just what I felt like titling this week’s QB notes column. I wish he would have returned to the Cassel of old last week and thrown for 400 yards. He probably will this week now that I am not playing him. Lots of things to consider this week such as weather. I still like Drew Brees at Chicago. He played Chicago last year around this time in similar conditions and still threw 2 TD’s. They have so many weapons I don’t think the weather will affect him as much. Keep an eye on weather in Philadelphia to see if you want to play McNabb. I am actually traveling there tomorrow and it said rainy/snowy/windy all weekend. I don’t really like Jay Cutler this week vs Carolina. Too inconsistent.

The Packers and the Jaguars suck this year: That makes me sad. A lot of good matchups for runningbacks this week leads me to believe there are going to be some very high scores in your leagues this week. A few uncertainties at RB this week as well. Brandon Jacobs is banged up and might not play against Dallas. If he doesn’t I really like Derrick Ward. I like Derrick Ward anyways. I did not include Jacobs on the list because he might not play. Frank Gore is also not on the list because he is banged up. Even if he does play I do not like him because Miami has a tough run defense and he would not be playing at 100%. Deshaun Foster will see a lot of action but….he is not good. Dominic Rhodes makes an appearance because he is stealing time from the big disappointment that is Joeseph Addai. Marion Barber is in the middle of the pack because I am not sure if he will play….but I think he will.

The Week of the Running Back: Some tougher matchups for the WR’s this week than for the RB’s. Plus the poor weather benefits the RB’s and hurts the WR’s value. I like Dwayne Bowe a lot this week. I think it has a lot to do with Thigpen being on fire (except for last week, sort of). Can Vincent Jackson repeat his performance last week? Probably not but he should still have a nice game. Be sure that the Falcons will be conentrating on Antonio Bryant this week but he will still get his yards. I hope the Jets lose and Cotchery and Coles do nothing.

Believe me: Don’t think about playing your Seattle Defense over your Giants Defense this week. Dallas may score points but the Giants have a play-making defense that gets sacks and is capable of scoring touchdowns. If Seattle holds the Rams to 7 points you dont get nearly as many fantasy points if the Cowboys were to put up 28 on the Giants but force 3 turnovers and get 3 sacks. A soft opponent is always good, unless its a mediocre/bad defense going up against them.

The Packers - For being my favorite team and sucking so much. I thought Defense was the strong point of this team? Matt Schaub looked like Joe Montana.

Eli Manning - Now thats the Eli Manning I know.

Gus Frerote - Because I told a guy to play him over Donovan McNabb. Not that McNabb lit it up but still…..I expected Berrian to come through some how.

DeAngelo Williams - This guy is insane. 300 yards rushing between him and Jonathan Stewart last night.

Brian Westbrook - Hope you played him.

Tashard Choice - Probably played better than Marion Barber would have.

Marion Barber - 2nd week in a row I had him number one. 2nd week in a row I regretted it.

He had consecutive 400 yard games before thie Pitt game and now he gets the Seattle defense that cannot defend the pass; I do not care that Chad Pennington threw for over 300 yards the last time he faced Buffalo. After last weeks no show I do not trust him very much; I do not care that Tony Romo is facing the Steelers. They are a great D but the Dallas offense is clicking and I expect nice numbers from Romo.

Things we learned from last week: Don’t sit Brian Westbrook. Even with 4 bad games before last week he can break out at anytime and this time the offense seemed to center around him. Peyton Hillis made me eat my words and had another good week. He has another favorable matchup this week vs KC. Steve Slaton’s turn to face Green Bay so he moves into the top 5. Despite Tim Hightower’s matchup vs St Louis I still do not trust Hightower to put up big numbers. He probably gets in the end zone once but not much more.

I have him 7th but he is just an animal and possibly one of my new favorite players. He can do it all.

Lets look at some other numbers:

Cassel has played 12 games, he has a rating of 85.5 completion % of 64.6, 13 TDs, 10 INTs, 2748 YDS.

Tom Brady played 16 games last season, but to be fair lets use 3/4 of those numbers (12 games).

Tom Brady prorated to 12 games, 117 rating, 63% completion, 37.5 TDs 6 INTs 3604 YDS. Result: Brady > Cassel.

Assuming last year was a total fluke for Brady how about the year before.

2006 Brady, Prorated to 12 games, 87 rating, 61% comp, 18TDs 9 INTs, 2646 YDs. Result: Brady > Cassel.

But Brady is 5 years older than Cassel - shut up.

Based on my rigorous statistical analysis Matt Cassel is 35-72% of the man Tom Brady is.  This allows us to draw some interesting comparisons.

Brian Westbrook - Holy shit! After 4 bad games in a row? How was I supposed to know? This is not my fault.

Donovan McNabb - One reader went against my email advice and sat McNabb in favor of Pennington. Her ex boyfriend told her to do so. He is an EX for a reason. That reason being because he is clearly retarded.

DeAngelo Williams - Was ranked 3 in our rankings and it definitely paid off. My poor, poor Green Bay Packers can’t stop anyone. =/

Thomas Jones -So I knew he would have a good year, but this good? I’m the a-hole that traded him during week 5 for Calvin Johnson.

Peyton Hillis - 3 weeks in a row now and now he gets the Chiefs?? Rather have him than Marion Barber.

Jason Witten - I was one week off but he’s back. Right in time for ff playoffs.

Aaron Rodgers - This guy catches a lot of flack because of some INT’s but he racks up yards and TD’s each week. In one league I am in one guy has Rodgers and Drew Brees. Why not trade one of them for a great WR or RB?? This man did not make the playoffs.
