Matt Cassel can lick my balls: That is just what I felt like titling this week’s QB notes column. I wish he would have returned to the Cassel of old last week and thrown for 400 yards. He probably will this week now that I am not playing him. Lots of things to consider this week such as weather. I still like Drew Brees at Chicago. He played Chicago last year around this time in similar conditions and still threw 2 TD’s. They have so many weapons I don’t think the weather will affect him as much. Keep an eye on weather in Philadelphia to see if you want to play McNabb. I am actually traveling there tomorrow and it said rainy/snowy/windy all weekend. I don’t really like Jay Cutler this week vs Carolina. Too inconsistent.

22. Jonathan Stewart vs Denver
23. Dominic Rhodes vs Detroit
24. LenDale White @ Houston
25. Derrick Ward @ Dallas
The Packers and the Jaguars suck this year: That makes me sad. A lot of good matchups for runningbacks this week leads me to believe there are going to be some very high scores in your leagues this week. A few uncertainties at RB this week as well. Brandon Jacobs is banged up and might not play against Dallas. If he doesn’t I really like Derrick Ward. I like Derrick Ward anyways. I did not include Jacobs on the list because he might not play. Frank Gore is also not on the list because he is banged up. Even if he does play I do not like him because Miami has a tough run defense and he would not be playing at 100%. Deshaun Foster will see a lot of action but….he is not good. Dominic Rhodes makes an appearance because he is stealing time from the big disappointment that is Joeseph Addai. Marion Barber is in the middle of the pack because I am not sure if he will play….but I think he will.
WIDE RECEIVERS
1. Anquan Boldin vs Minnesota
2. Larry Fitzgerald vs Minnesota
3. Steve Smith vs Denver
4. Terrell Owens vs Giants
5. Greg Jennings @ Jacksonville
6. Roddy White vs Tampa Bay
7. Reggie Wayne vs Detroit
8. Andre Johnson vs Tennessee
9. Calvin Johnson @ Indianapolis
10. Brandon Marshall @ Carolina
11. Antonio Bryant @ Atlants
12. Dwayne Bowe vs San Diego
13. T.J Houshmanzadeh vs Washington
14. Lee Evans @ Jets
15. Amani Toomer @ Dallas
16. Wes Welker @ Oakland
17. Eddie Royal @ Carolina
18. Randy Moss @ Oakland
19. Marques Colston @ Chicago
20.Vincent Jackson @ Kansas City
21.Donald Driver @ Jacksonville
22. Santana Moss @ Cincinnati
The Week of the Running Back: Some tougher matchups for the WR’s this week than for the RB’s. Plus the poor weather benefits the RB’s and hurts the WR’s value. I like Dwayne Bowe a lot this week. I think it has a lot to do with Thigpen being on fire (except for last week, sort of). Can Vincent Jackson repeat his performance last week? Probably not but he should still have a nice game. Be sure that the Falcons will be conentrating on Antonio Bryant this week but he will still get his yards. I hope the Jets lose and Cotchery and Coles do nothing.
TIGHT ENDS
1. Tony Gonzalez vs San Diego
2. Dallas Clark vs Detroit
3. Jason Witten vs Giants
4. Antonio Gates @ Kansas City
5. John Carlson @ St Louis
6. Chris Cooley @ Cincinnati
7. Kevin Boss @ Dallas
8. Zach Miller vs New England
9. Dustin Keller vs Buffalo
10. Owen Daniels vs Tennessee
11. Bo Scaife @ Houston
12. Visanthe Shiancoe @ Arizona
Awesome: Visanthe Shiancoe makes the list only because he forgot (or didnt forget) to cover himself up on a live fox broacast in the locker room. That’s all I really have to say about this category.
DEFENSE
1. Baltimore vs Pitt
2. Philadelphia vs Cleveland
3. Pittsburgh @ Baltimore
4. Indianapolis vs Detroit
5. Tennessee @ Houston
6. New England @ Oakland
7. Giants @ Dallas
8. Washington @ Cincinnati
9. Miami vs San Francisco
10. Carolina vs Denver
11. Oakland vs New England
12. Jets vs Buffalo
13. San Diego @ Kansas City
14. Seattle @ St Louis
Believe me: Don’t think about playing your Seattle Defense over your Giants Defense this week. Dallas may score points but the Giants have a play-making defense that gets sacks and is capable of scoring touchdowns. If Seattle holds the Rams to 7 points you dont get nearly as many fantasy points if the Cowboys were to put up 28 on the Giants but force 3 turnovers and get 3 sacks. A soft opponent is always good, unless its a mediocre/bad defense going up against them.
Keep asking Mike those kicker questions, he loves them.

WEEKLY SUCK/NOT SUCK LIST
Tuesday, November 11th, 2008Another week, another list of players who underperformed. Let’s get this started.
SUCK LIST
Brett Favre/Lavernaues Coles/Jerricho Cotchery - 47 points for the Jets and these guys do nothing. Who would have thought? Dustin Keller was the only guy not named Thomas Jones to get you some points. Jets Defense did well also and lit at least one of my teams up. Cotchery continues to underperform and is now a very weak WR3 choice. Coles stays a decent number two but Favre is as inconsistent as…….something thats very inconsistent I guess.
Marshawn Lynch - You have to continue to start him. You just have to. Be sorry you drafted him and try not to make the mistake next year.
Jeremy Shockey - Drop him. 2 catches for 16 yards when your team throws for 400+ is unacceptable. Now he might be hurt again also. Oh, and he also splits time. I hate him.
Ben Roethlisberger - If you had another QB option you should have sat Big Ben anyways and should continue to do so until he is 100% healthy. Did I mention that last week? I should have.
Me - I should have known Jake Delhomme would have thrown for less than 100 yards and 5 picks vs the Raiders.
Torry Holt - Continues to be irrelevant. You can now safely drop him.
Steve Slaton - Baltimore D is tough but I thought this guy got some WR yards also? Nope.
Me again - Gregg Jennings will have a great week eh? Nice pick idiot. Didn’t help that Aaron Rodgers was on his back the whole game like insert joke about someone’s mom here. On the bright side, I did say that Donald Driver will go back to donig nothing.
Chris Chambers - Did he even play? He’s not in the box score I don’t get it. Except I do get it. Because he did play. And did nothing. Philip Rivers had a nice game also. Not so good news for Chambers owners.
NOT SUCK LIST
Matt Ryan - Becoming a pleseant surprise this year and a good start depending on the matchup. I would definitely start him over Favre. 21, 20, 19, and 18 fantasy points his last 4 games. He has first two names though so he cannot be fully trusted.
DeAngelo Williams - Taken over as the number one back in Carolina. Consider yourself lucky if you have hung onto him for this long.
Thomas Jones - Hope you bought low on him at the beginning of the season. He has become a Top 5 back. Yes. Top 5. 149 and 3 TD’s!
Kurt Warner and Anquan Boldin - Facing that intimidating 49ers defense did not seem to be an issue with business as usual for these two. I am sure Kurt Warner thanks Jesus every night for his success. Jesus is obviously a Cardinals fan. Warner - 328 and 3 TD’s, Boldin 91 yards and 2 TD’s.
Willis McGahee - You would think Mike Shanahan is the coash of this squad. Every week it seems like someone else leads them in rushing. A healthy Willis dominated Houston this weekend for 112 yards and 2 TD’s.
Adrian Peterson - 192 yards and 1 TD. Throw in 33 yards receiving to rub it in. Hands down the number one RB. Sorry for everyone that drafted LDT, Westbrook, and even Addai in some cases over him.
Maurice Jones Drew - At least one person did something against the Raiders this weekend. Mojo dropped 70 yards and 3 TD’s on the Raiders. Even Fred Taylor topped his normal 20 yards with a nice 83.
Start looking at playoff matchups. Trade deadlines are probably approaching so this might be your last chance to pull a fast one on an unsuspecting team in order to shore up your playoff schedule.
Week 10 - SUCK LIST
Thursday, November 6th, 2008I’d have to say, YTD there have been a ton of disappointments out there and mainly all of them can be found on at least one of my on FF teams. Let’s just take a second and call out these bums whose name I curse at weekly.
Donald Driver - Ok, he only had tow TD’s last year and Jennings basically took over. But the guy still had almost 1100 yards and did have 82 catches. Take away week 9’s game and he has been terrible. I am not buying the 7 catch 136 yard performance. I did not like him at the beginning of the season but was forced to pick him on more than one team because apparently everyone else disliked him more than I did. Terrible.
Braylon Edwards - Really? Catch the fucking ball. Leading the league in dropped catches the first several weeks of the season after having a 1200 yard 16 TD career year last year. Yes, even though it was his second year it was a career year. Was Derek Anderson really that bad? Will Brady Quinn be any better? Who knows. It hurts my head to think about. He has had excellent games the last 2 out of 4. Not good enough for where you drafted him. With his recent success however you might be able to get him at a low price. Do it.
Marshawn Lynch - It’s funny because if I start to run out of people to put on this list I just go back and think about who I drafted. No 100 yard games. 0. None. Probably a first round pick in your league. If he is going to come around at all it will be the next few weeks where it happens. At the Pats, home vs the Browns, at Kansas City, home vs the 49ers, and a tougher than it would seem game vs Miami. Theres still a small amount of hope.
Peyton Manning - Not really looking like the first round pick you thought you were getting does he? Well, if you picked him in the first round you should not be playing FF anyways because you are an idiot. Joseph Addai hasn’t helped him at all this year and he makes this list too but I don’t feel like typing about him because I’m tired about hearing about the Colts. Marvin Harrison sucks too.
Jerricho Cotchery - Guess he won’t be Favre’s go to receiver after all. Has had signs of brilliance but then Laverneus will catch a few TD passes and make you forget all about it.
Jeremy Shockey - Was very high on him and the high powered Saints offense at the beginning of the year. Then he hurt his balls and now he does nothing except show up as a GTD every week.
Chad Johnson/TJ Housh/Terrell Owens/Randy Moss -All victims of QB injuries. Carson Palmer getting hurt did not exactly help Chad and TJ with their cause but its not like they were doing anything when he was on the field. TO should rebound once Romo is back and Moss should stay a low end #2 receiver.
Others making the cut: Joey Galloway, Matt Schaub (except the last few weeks), Roy Williams, Marques Colston, Larry Johnson, Ryan Grant, Kellen Winslow, David Garrard, Fred Taylor, Torry Holt, San Diego Defense (Perfect example why never pick a defense before the last two rounds), Wes Welker, Everyone on the 49ers except Frank Gore (I know nobody on the 49ers except him was suppose to be good but I just like mentioning how much the 49ers suck).
That’s all for now. Just wanted to get this off my chest as I have experienced the terribleness of all these players first hand.
