Tony Romo: haterade
Yeah I know, Tony Romo is great. He’s an all american guy, awesome QB, boning dating Jessica Simpson, and he puts up fantasy numbers. But, I really think the cowboys are overrated. Also they are playing in one of the toughest divisions right now. What does this mean? They are playing catchup and the cowboys will crack under the pressure. T.O.’s biological clock for self-destructing will eventually strike midnight and Romo and the rest of the crew will turn into pumpkins.
But what does this mean for your fantasy team? Well first lets look at who the cowboys will be playing: Was, SF, Sea, @Pit, NYG, Bal. Ok so lets assume Romo stays healthy. SF and Sea should be easy wins, but, note the last 3 weeks of the cowboys season(and your fantasy playoffs).
These will all be high pressure, most likely MUST WINS and look who they play. I can’t wait to watch those defenses abuse the cowboys and nubile Tony Romo. Romo is good player, but the cowboys offensive line is horrible right now. If they get felix jones back it could help lighten some of the pressure. But for now I’m not a believer.
Hold onto Romo, but pickup someone now for the playoffs because the matchups are rough and Romo may get his entire hand ripped off and eaten by Ray Lewis. If you have Romo grab one of these guys, or another QB for some insurance:
Kyle Orton (easier matchups rest of the season)
Tyler Thigpen (so hot right now, and good late matchups)
Matt Cassel (coming off a monster game, good matchups)
Jeff Garcia (reaching a bit here, but good matchups late, and he is a safe bet for 10+ points)
